Humming

Humming helps the sinus cavities, contains higher oxygen during exhale creating each breath more proficient in relations of blood oxygenation. It assists the exhale by supplying more oxygen to be taken out from air thus decreasing labored expense of breathing.

Humming is demonstrated by those who appear relaxed. It coordinates the use of a larger part of breath. Humming is proven to be good for us as well as an excellent tool to utilize larger part of breathing mechanics.

Lundberg "Humming Greatly Increases Nasal Nitric Oxide", American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Vol. 166, No. 2 (2002), pp. 144-145. doi: 10.1164/rccm.200202-138BC nitric oxide levels in the sinuses increased 15 times higher during humming compared to normal, quiet exhalations. Parent Strategies to Deal with Bullying:

Posted on January 2, 2016 at 2:20 PM

No matter what form it takes, bullying is a complex behavior pattern and there is no “one size fits all” solution to the problem. If your child is affected by bullying, your priority is to protect him or her. Using the following strategies may help:

 Accept that a problem is occurring. While common advice often tells you to ignore a bully, in reality that rarely works. A problem must be acknowledged before it can be dealt with. Make sure your child knows that he/she is not at fault for being bullied, that you will help him/her deal with it, and that there is no shame in reporting a bullying incident.

 Help your child develop more constructive ways to respond to a bully. Brainstorm with him/her different situations and ways to respond to them. Short, confident statements like, “I don’t have time for this,” work well and walk away from the bully. Have him/her role-play with you or a sibling so that calm, non-aggressive responses becomes more natural.

 Help your child develop friendships outside the school. Sports leagues, dance instruction, and youth and scouting groups can all provide chances to form healthy friendships while your child develops and pursues her special interests.

 Assure your child of your constant love and support. Children who are supported by family members do much better at working through difficult situations, including bullying. You do not have to have all the answers -- but you can make sure your child knows you will always listen and help her find better ways to overcome the bullying problem.
